An answer to what I thought was a serious medical problem is what Vladka McCalley was able to provide for me last summer. For a couple of years I had suffered a pain in my right side that was accompanied by constant abdominal cramping. Months of medical tests and thousands of dollars later, I still had no answer. My mom recommended I get a massage to relax and suggested I see Vladka. My mom has received numerous massages to help with her arthritis and after seeing Vladka, she felt that there was no one better. When I went for my first appointment, Vladka was immediately able to describe the pain I was suffering and explain why I was having this muscular problem. Since my first massage, I have not experienced the pain or cramping again. If only I had had that massage before it became such a pain to my pocketbook!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of experiencing a massage from Vladka McCalley at European Massage Co. I noticed right away her attention to detail that other massage businesses don’t offer. Fluffy comforters, the heated massage table, the extra padding that was placed on the table itself, a variation of massage oils and pain relieving gel just to mention a few.

Their location also makes it easy to get to and when I called to make an appointment I didn’t get a voice mail or an answering service. I was able to speak with someone who was able to tell me right away if I could schedule an appointment.

European Massage has changed my life! I received a gift certificate to European Massage for my birthday from a neighbor in the Fall 2003 and received my first professional massage from Vladka McCalley, Owner. I was rather nervous about my first massage because I've never been a real "touchy-feely" kind of person, but Vladka is so friendly and professional, that I had a great experience. I scheduled a massage for the next week and also made an appointment for my husband, Tom. We've been receiving massages from European Massage ever since!

I was diagnosed with "frozen shoulder" in February 2004. This is a rotator-cuff condition that is common in women my age (early 50's). My doctor prescribed medication to reduce the inflammation and recommended that I begin physical therapy. I went 3 times per week for 4 months. When our medical insurance would no longer pay for PT, I turned to Vladka for help. If it hadn't been for her and the other massage therapists at European Massage that worked on my shoulder every week for another 2 months, I wouldn't have the range of motion in my arm that I do today. Thank you so very much!

At first, I considered massage a luxury that I felt I couldn't really afford, but now it's become a necessity in my life. I drive 120 miles round trip from Bozeman to Townsend every day to work. My job is very stressful. My neck and shoulders get really tight. Therefore, I have a massage every other Saturday (twice a month) at European Massage. I don't think I could function without regular massage therapy--what a stress and pain reliever. The money that I spend on a massage is the money I save on doctor's visits.
